A man living near the rifle range in Hildersley has called on the Ministry of Defence to publish its shooting times in advance.
Derek Haselden, from Gloucester Road, says that locals should be made aware out of common courtesy.
At the moment, red flags are put up alongside the range before shooting starts to let people know that range is about to be used.
Derek told the Ross Gazette: "I'm a great supporter of the Army and all our armed forces especially, but I would just like some warning.
"If you have a dog it goes ballistic and I know some people with young children, especially in the evening who would like some warning.
