The homes of three elderly people in the Ross area have been burgled in the space of a fortnight, the Ross Gazette has learned.
In the first incident, a property in Three Crosses Road was entered at around 2.15pm on Friday, August 13th. The burglar told the occupant he was working on a house nearby, and needed to turn the water off.
In the second incident, a bungalow off Archenfield Road was entered during the night of Tuesday, August 24th to Wednesday, August 25th.
The house was searched in what police have described as an 'untidy' fashion, and cash and property were stolen.
Finally, a man entered a house in Strangford at around noon on Wednesday August 25th. When accosted by the occupant, the man claimed to be "from the authorities". The offender gained access to an upstairs bedroom and stole a quantity of cash.
West Mercia Police are appealing for information about any of these crimes, either on 0300 333 3000, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
