Dear Editor,

My name is Lucy Whittal and I am a young leader at Bridstow Guides. I am very excited to be one of 8 girls from Herefordshire selected to go on an international trip to Sangam, India in August, 2019.

Sangam is one of the five Guiding World Centres, and on our trip we will be helping out with community service projects and having a chance to explore the cultural aspects of India, visiting places like the Taj Mahal.

As part of the project, each Guider has to fundraise £3000! I am a big crafter, and have had craft stalls at the Ross Carnival and the Ross Preschool Summer Fete. I have also helped at Ross Labels and Guide charity lunches.

I still have some way to go to raise the money, so I would be delighted to hear from any local businesses that are interested in helping me out.
