Friends, Becky Evans and Tessa Prowse, who live in Ross-on-Wye, have been so distressed by the news about young Oscar Saxelby-Lee, whose family is raising £500,000 to pay for life saving treatment, that they want to organise an event to help.

They have been offered a venue and hope to hold an event next weekend as they know Oscar is short of time. They are looking for support, offers of help or items to raffle. Becky told the Gazette: "We are looking for ideas for entertainment as well as raffle prizes." Anyone who wants to support Tessa and Becky can contact them through their Facebook pages or email the Ross Gazette, [email protected], and we will pass on any messages.
