A man and a teenage boy are in hospital following a canoeing incident in Symonds Yat. West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Symonds Yat East, half a mile from the Saracens Head public house at around 3.15pm on Thursday, August 27th. Two ambulances and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival at the scene crews found a man and his son who had been canoeing when they were both thrown into the river.
