A car, which was in Broad Street in Ross-on-Wye on Monday, March 4th, mounted the pedestrian footpath, colliding into the street furniture and the Sue Ryder charity shop, at 54 Broad Street.

The police arrived at the scene at approximately 11:38am.

The car owner spoke to the Ross Gazette on Tuesday. He said: "I parked my car in the layby opposite and when i returned to put some items into the car i opened the passenger door. I put the items in the car and shut the door, the car then rolled forward."

He said that the police were very helpful and he added: "I am very thankful that no-one was hurt or injured."

The owner said that the car has been looked at by a garage but it is currently unknown why it happened.
