A local resident was angry after road signs that had been left behind after workmen had completed a job were picked up and thrown around Henry Street, which caused damage to his car.

The man, who lives in Henry Street, Ross-on-Wye, came into the Ross Gazette office on Thursday, August 25th, to report the damage. He explained that his car had been damaged overnight, between August 24th and 25th.

He said that utility workmen had been working in the street, but had finished their job on Wednesday afternoon, and rather than taking the road signs with them, they stacked them on the side of the pavement, for a company to come and collect them.

Overnight, vandals picked up the road signs, and threw them down the street, which caused damage to a vehicle parked on the side of the road.

This incident has been reported to the police. Please call 101 and give the incident reference number 416-S-250816 if you have any further information.
