A new way to ensure that the people of Ross, and the surrounding area, get the best possible care, when and where they need it, has begun with the launch of the Ross Care Group. Bringing together three long-established local care companies, the Ross Care Group (RCG) aims to provide even better services to local residents in future. And this new approach to co-operation and integration across all the care services could be a pilot for other areas as they approach care in a unique and more joined up way.
The three companies, Total Living Care, Ashfield Care and Hands, all share common core values, excellent reputations and focus solely on Ross-on-Wye. They believe that the expression ‘small enough to care’ is vital in providing personal care. They know all their clients and carers and are able to adapt their services as circumstances change. The group is unanimous in wanting to maintain this high level of personal care and to provide an even greater service by developing the profile of care work and extending the services they offer from purely social care to include some aspects of health care.
The RCG was formed in the spring of 2019 and has been collaborating to improve care ever since. There is a shared website and Facebook page and the group meet regularly together, and with other agencies to further their objectives.
James Lloyd of Total Living Care, said: “Care work is one of the most rewarding of careers in a growing sector, and it opens up other opportunities in nursing, administrative and management roles. There is so much good happening from increasing pay rates to excellent training options that this a great time to consider becoming a carer.”See the full story in this week’s edition of the Ross Gazette, or subscribe to our online edition http://www.rossgazette.com/subscribe.cfm";>here
