MADAM, Concerning the picture sent in by Doreen Evans, whilst the picture may have been taken in Cawdor, off the Brampton Road, it seems much more likely it was taken a little further down the hill. The position of the bridge in relationship to the church spire suggest the picture was taken outside Cawdor Cottages in Cawdor Gardens off the Greytree Road. The cottages are still there and look over allotments down to the bridge which has now been demolished.
