Madam, I am delighted to report that, following the publishing of the CCTV photos in the Ross Gazette last week showing the two young men who used our porch as a urinal, those involved have made good.

They have both apologised to me in writing and personally and paid the contribution I requested towards the paint repairs.

They had the honesty to turn themselves in to the police initially and wanted to put matters right immediately. The two shops that share our porch are happy with the outcome too.

So, with a price being paid, an apology genuinely made and a lesson learned – we have a ray of good news in the town of Ross. Good lads!

Andrew Meek, Ross
