30 Days Wild begins tomorrow, Saturday June 1st, and challenges residents to do something wild every day for a month. Partakers can get creative by coming up with their own 30 simple, fun and exciting random acts of wildness.
Some ideas include taking a photograph of nature every day for the month, or planting a different flower each day. You could spend the month building areas in your garden to attract wildlife everyday, like a hedgehog house or bird feeders.
Schools are encouraged to get involved too, with children being able to paint their favourite animals, dress up, and learn about nature.
The Wildlife Trust are giving away a free pack of goodies to help residents plan their wild month, and also offer lots of ideas from your to inspire people to stay wild all throughout June.
Some great places to explore and appreciate wildlife in and around Ross-on-Wye include Merrivale Wood, the River Wye, Lower Wood, Purland Chase and Coughton Marsh.
Let the Ross Gazette know what you are doing for the 30 day challenge. You can send photographs to [email protected].
