Following on from their Champion winning efforts at the Ross-on-Wye Christmas Market on November 26th, Ian and Eira Pugh of Hillcrest, Three Ashes won Champion and Reserve Champion at the Monmouthshire Livestock Market the following week. 

This year was their 30th successive year of showing at Ross-on-Wye and Monmouthshire markets, duplicating their success of the previous year. The champion ‘Miss Merry Miller’ was a stunning British BlueX Limousin Heifer, age 13 months old and weighing in at 580kg, realising £2400 (413 pence per kg).

The reserve champion ‘Merry Miller Maiden’  was a Limousin X Heifer, age 16 months old and weighing in at 610kg, realising £1650 (270 pence per kg).

Both animals were purchased by  Greg Willis of Willis Family Butcher’s, Cwmbran.
