Local artist Mary Deaville has created a new Facebook Page for CHAPEL Creatives, a project she is hoping to bring to Ross using the Old Chapel in Cantilupe Road as a base.

Several artists have already agreed to rent space to use as studios within the building and other artists have agreed to display their paintings in the gallery space.

Mary has also received pledges from people who would like to use the hall for children’s parties, exhibitions and workshops. She is in talks with art therapists and counsellors who would like to hire space and she is collaborating with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Pilot in Ross-on-Wye.

Mary has informed Ross Town Council of her plans and is preparing a business plan. If anyone has any questions or wishes to make pledge email her on [email protected].

Mary said:?“I still plan to lease the Old Chapel as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation for people of all ages, and all abilities, disabled or fully abled to experience free creative workshops provided by creative people wanting to help the community with good mental health and wellbeing.”
