An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital following a road traffic collision in Gorsley on Wednesday, April 27th.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident shortly after 2.30pm. An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a MARS BASICS Doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were dispatched to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Services spokeswoman said: "On arrival at the scene crews found a cyclist and a car that had been in collision."
The cyclist was treated at the scene for a serious head injury and minor cuts and bruises before being airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol for further assessment and treatment.
The driver of the car did not require any further hospital treatment.
