Once more several of the organisations in Ross which help the elderly or vulnerable are coming together to ensure that everyone can enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner with company.

Several local organisations including the Ross Lions and EnviroAbility, as well as the RVS, join forces to organise the annual event.

Planning has just begun but the organisers already know that the prepared vegetables will be donated by J P Produce, that Ruth Gibbins will be cooking for the fourth time, and lots of regular guests and volunteers are already excited about the event. Now is the time to book your place at one of the tables and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal and the company of other local residents.

Paula, of EnviroAbility told the Ross Gazette that guests should pre-book and there is also a home-delivery option if anyone is unable to join the party at the Larruperz.

In previous years, they have had about 70 people sitting down for lunch and delivered about 12 to 15 lunches.

Transport can be arranged by the RVS for anyone who needs it. For more information call Age Concern on 01989 763887, Paula at EnviroAbility on 01989 763388 or Sheila at RVS on 01989 765595.

You can also walk into the offices in Brookend Street, to obtain more information or to book your place.
