THE Community Garden in Ross-on-Wye is offering local residents the opportunities to help volunteer, meet people and be active outdoors.

Among the sessions at Haygrove Community Gardens at the Gloucester Road centre include helping at a school children’s garden sessions on both Tuesday mornings and afternoons; teenage volunteering sessions on Saturday mornings; special events during school holidays; weekly adult sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays mornings.

Ross Community Garden was established in 2013 to support users with a range of physical and mental health challenges. It also hosts school visits throughout the year, engaging children on how their food is grown, conservation, and on the benefits of healthy eating. The garden benefits from having over 80 volunteers.
