The computer issues which meant that GPs were unable to access patient’s records for some time yesterday, Tuesday, June 4th, have been resolved.
The two GP surgeries in Ross-on-Wye, Pendeen and Alton Street, along with many GP practices across Herefordshire had been experiencing problems with their clinical computer system. They have no access to patient information such as appointment bookings, results and prescriptions.
A spokesperson for the Wye Valley Trust confirmed that Ross Community Hospital had not been affected by the technical issues.
A spokesperson for Pendeen Surgery had apologised for the computer glitch. They said: "If you require emergency treatment, please contact the surgery for advice or NHS 111. If you have a minor illness such as insect bites, please go to your local pharmacy. As far as we know, Minor Injury Department and A&E are not effected by this glitch. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please bear with us as our IT specialists try to resolve the issue."
Alton Street Surgery also had a message on their website saying that they hoped the issue will be resolved as soon a possible
