Two former members of the Conservative Club in Ross have been told that they are not welcome at the Club. They have been informed by letter that they cannot attend the Club until they have explained their actions in standing as Independent Councillors at the recent election, at a Committee meeting, scheduled for May 24th.
David Ravenscroft is a long standing member of the Conservative Club and has frequently represented Ross Town Council as a Conservative Councillor. When he applied this year for adoption by the local party he was not selected. Rather than not take an active part in the politics of the town he stood as an Independent Councillor.
