Spring will soon be in the air and with the warmer weather bringing lots of visitors to the town those concerned with tourism are hoping to reintroduce the Town Ambassadors.

This was an idea started by Vic Lockley, as a way for friendly locals to help visitors and anyone new to Ross-on-Wye find out a bit more about the area, or just ask directions.

On March 7th, at 6pm in Mandy Moo’s Cafe in Cantilupe Road, there will be an informal get-together to discuss the role and share ideas on how to again make the initiative a success.

If you love Ross, and have an hour or two to spare every other week, why not get involved? The more volunteers the merrier.

This is going to be a fun, sociable, rewarding opportunity and it is appropriate to have an initiative like this continuing as Ross starts to mark its 250th year as a tourist destination.

Volunteers can choose when they work and they can work for as long or as little as they wish, and they can work, alone, in pairs and with friends or as a couple.
