Ross Town Council has asked its events committee to explore the possibility of branding events, hosted in Ross throughout the year, under one banner.

Councillor Jane Roberts presented her idea at Monday's Full Council meeting.

She said: "Things happen all the time in Ross and we should brand Ross as the place to be.

"We have such a vibrant community input from groups working really hard to make it happen.

"This makes us stronger because of the diversity of groups all doing their own thing.

"We could work in a co-ordinated way to help groups with publicity. The Town Council's role should be more strategic.

"We should consider delegating the branding to an organisation, either community or commerical, to create a professional presentation which would piggy back promotion of future events."
