Herefordshire Council Group Leaders have agreed that, as part of the budget savings exercise, that the consumables allowance be discontinued and subsistence allowance is only to be paid for meetings held outside of the county.
This will take effect as from August 31st.
Consumables includes items such as phone, broadband, printer paper and ink.
Councillor Andrew Atkinson who recently proposed a 10% cut in attendance allowance for Councillors told the Ross Gazette:?"Now that's a start."
