The court case against a Latvian lorry driver, Oskars Kenins (29), has been adjourned until February.

He was charged by police after he was stopped at Ross-on-Wye on May 20th, 2016. He had been caught driving a large goods vehicle or passenger carrying vehicle, on the A40 which was overloaded 32.86 in excess of its maximum permitted weight.

Also, the breaking system was defective in that the load sensing valve was seized and clearly not able to function as intended.

The brake pipe axle offside and nearside, were corroded and deeply pitted and weakened. The brake pipe was inadequately supported and loose, and the twin steel brake pipes leading to the load sensing valve was hanging down. The vehicle was likely to be a danger to any person in it or on a road.Mr Kenins will appear at Hereford Justice Centre on February 7th.
