A man accused of theft and attempted fraud has been banned from all but two of Ross-on-Wye’s shops.

David Moore, 46, of the town’s Morley Square was bailed to reappear before Hereford magistrates on July 25, and told he can only enter the One Stop and Benjamin’s The Chemist.

The court was told he had stolen alcohol worth £64.50 from Sainsbury’s on April 5.

He is also accused of stealing food worth £41 from the town’s Co-op store in two separate incidents, and attempting to use bank cards belonging to another person to buy food on April 5.
