A businessman must do 100 hours of unpaid work after being found guilty of stealing a Porsche car belonging to the High Court of Justice.

Barry Satchwell Smith of Upper House Farm, Upleadon, who runs a film, TV and theatrical casting business, denied stealing the 2016-registered Porsche in Newent on January 27, 2021, but was convicted after a trial at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court.

He was sentenced to a one-year community order including the unpaid work and must pay £700 costs and a £95 victim services surcharge.
