A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a Coleford man who disgusted locals by defecating on the outside wall of a social club and burgled a home.

Staff at Lydbrook and District Social Club have since revealed that the man concerned had been allowed to use the toilet inside, but then committed the act outside before wiping his bottom on a sandwich he pulled from a bag.

Mark Mortimer, 46, of Newland Street, Coleford, was due to be sentenced at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on May 12, but did not attend.

He has admitted burgling a home in Lydbrook and committing an act which outraged public decency in the village. on February 13, 2024.

An earlier hearing on April 1 heard he had stolen a Ryobi torch worth £100 from the conservatory of a cottage in the village.
