The chill wind and the pouring rain of Saturday, August 11th did not deter the hardy souls of South Herefordshire, and Ross in particular, from turning out to view the garden at Michaelchurch Court.

They also arrived ready to enjoy cream teas and loads of cake, buy all manner of produce from trees to pickled eggs, cards to marmalade and raffle tickets to runner beans. And all were serenaded by The Duo Giovedi on their clarinets, with the water running down Richard and Peters’ necks.

A fantastic £1004 was raised for church funds and the organisers are very grateful to John and Kathy Handby for their hospitality.
