A 20/20 cricket match was held at Brockhampton Cricket Club to raise funds for the charity 'Help for Heroes'.
Representing the injured soldiers was 23 year old Lance Corporal Matthew Wilson who sadly lost part of his leg during his term of service.
Players and supporters enjoyed a lovely day, with great late summer weather, enjoyable food and drink and an exciting cricket match into the bargain.
A raffle and an auction of sporting memorabilia were held and over £2,000 was raised.
Even the children got into the swing of things raising £42 operating a tombola stall.
