Dear Editor,

I have lived in Ross for 17 years and normally walk into our beautiful town.

Occasionally, I do need to take the car, so was amazed today to see the 70% increase in parking charges at the car park near the Bowling Club, Crossfields Car Park to £1 for one hour.

How can this be justified, while we all await the increase in our Council Tax in April?

How are we expected to attract new visitors, when the town so desperately needs them, especially at half-term?

Answers from our councillors please.
