MADAM, Zebra crossings near Morrisons petrol station are a good idea, and I prefer them to pelican crossings or whatever.

But when coming from Smallbrook Road, they are poorly sited, with two pointless triangular advance notice signs (pointless because they are too late and invisible to drivers who are concentrating on the road).

And when are the flashing beacon lights going to work – before or after someone gets run over? If we as locals find these crossings badly sited and therefore dangerous, what will happen in the tourist season? What do others think?
