An estimated 150,000 people flocked to the Royal International Air Tattoo in Gloucestershire over the weekend, and they were not disappointed.

The event, which is now in its 30th year, featured 250 aircraft, including the Vulcan, Tornados, the Red Arrows and the Osprey, to name but a few.

An event highlight was a mass fly-past by historic aircraft honouring the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

The large crowds were wowed on both days, as the Red Arrows made a guard of honour for the final flight across Gloucestershire of the iconic and beautiful Vulcan Bomber. At the end of the 2015 flying season, the Vulcan XH558 will land for the final time. As she flew past, the crowds burst into spontaneous applause and cheering in appreciation of this historic aircraft. Emotion descended on the airfield as many said goodbye for the final time.

The Royal International Air Tattoo is a wonderful day out for the whole family, and includes numerous activities for children and adults alike. Including the Adrenaline zone, which this year featured mini tanks, Segways and much more.

Next year the event will take place on 8th, 9th and 10th July. You can purchase tickets for the 2016 event online www.airtattoo.com when they are released later this year.
