John Squires spent most of Saturday, April 14th, raising money by cycling 100 miles in the window of Cancer Research UK. John did this ride in memory of his Mum, Pat, who died of Cancer.

John has raised money for Cancer Research UK this way over the past eight years for many events, such as Stand Up to Cancer and World Cancer Day. He has been a strong supporter of the charity.

Louise Cossey, Shop Manager for Cancer Research UK, told the Ross Gazette: “This was John’s last event for us due to moving soon. We are very grateful for all the money he has raised over the years for the Charity which has helped fund vital research.

“John raised a fantastic £170 on Saturday.”
