The new standard for the Ross and District branch of the Royal British Legion was dedicated at a special ceremony on Sunday, July 22nd.

The dedication was carried out by the Reverend Sarah Jones as part of the regular morning service at St Mary’s Church.

The standard, which features the new name of the branch the Ross-on-Wye and District and the Lister Cup which the branch was proud to have been awarded.

The Standard will be joining the recreation of the 1928 pilgrimage to World War One battlefields for thousands of Legion members, GP90 on August 5th, complete with the Standard Bearer, Richard Ceci, and Parade Marshall Ian Hedges.

They will be joining hundreds of other members for a special service in Ypres.
