Members of Ross Bowling Club, and visitors to their Club House can be reassured that in case of en emergency the Club has its own defibrillator on the premises.

Herefordshire Heartstart helped the club to source the defibrillator, which is used in a medical emergency, after a cardiac arrest, to deliver an electrical current to the heart.

Several members of Ross Bowling Club took part in Heartstart How to Save a Life courses. They then made a generous donation of £500 towards the running costs of further Heartstart courses.

Loraine Coleman from the charity told the Ross Gazette:?“We are very grateful for this donation, as we rely on donations and small grants to keep this service running. Donations are essential to help cover the ongoing costs of running the courses, eg phone line/calls, replacing lungs, wipes, course paperwork, volunteer mileage, etc.”

If you can support the charity by organising a fundraising event, or if you would like to offer business sponsorship to support the charity, please contact the Co-ordinator/Project Manager Loraine Coleman.

If you would like to attend a public course or are interested in booking a course for your group, please email [email protected] or call Loraine Coleman on 01432 850067 or 0845 60 60 654 Monday to Thursday 9am to 3pm.

Anyone can attend a free two hour Heartstart course, or can book a course for their group, business or voluntary organisation.
