There will be a short talk about the Model Farm Community organic growing project at the next meeting of Ross Rural Parish Council, at 7.15pm on Wednesday, January 2nd in the Larruperz Centre.

The project is in its infancy but will be of interest to people of all ages, who would like to eat and/or grow locally grown organic vegetables.

A cabin will be built to start the project and then small or large strips of ploughed land will be available for those wanting to start growing this spring.

The strips can be used for growing organic fruit and flowers as well as vegetables, and they will be freshly ploughed to take the hard work out of soil preparation.

Organic vegetables will be on sale at the Farm Shop and it is hoped to restore an old orchard on the site.Anyone interested is welcome to come along to the meeting and listen to the plans.
