Ross Guides have been out and about recently, learning about some of the activities and crafts that take place in Ross-on-Wye, and the surrounding area.

First, they spent a very busy evening learning all about the bells at St Mary’s Church, and having a go under the supervision of the regular bell ringers. One or two of the Guides liked it so much, they have visited the bell ringing group again. The bell ringers are always interested in recruiting new members to join the team.

The Guides were also visited by local craftsman, Clyde of Wild Wicker, who taught them how to make foraging baskets. Clyde is keen to pass on his basket weaving skills to other local groups.

After a long break, 1st Ross Rangers is up and running again. The Senior Section (Rangers) offers an exciting and varied programme for young women aged 14 +. If you are interested in helping at either Guides or Rangers, please register your interest at www.girlguiding.org.uk.
