There is just one final obstacle for John Kyrle High School to overcome before it can become an Academy, and the governors will vote on the proposal when they meet on Wednesday, December 8th.
The school has the backing of the government, the staff, parents and pupils and if the governors give the final go-ahead then John Kyrle High School could be an Academy on January 1st.
In November, Nigel Griffiths, Headteacher of John Kyrle High School was invited to Downing Street with Headteachers of other Ofsted designated 'Outstanding' schools to discuss the New Academy Status. For a full report see this week's newspaper.
