Three men carried out a daylight robbery on a lorry parked in Ross last Thursday morning, then managed to give police officers the slip after a high-speed chase that ran over 45 miles.
A local builder, Andrew Holton, witnessed the robbery and took a number of photos with his mobile phone. He told the Ross Gazette that he had thought of trying to stop the men, perhaps by taking the key out of the ignition or blocking their way with his van, but saw that one of the men had a utility knife, and changed his mind.

Detective Sergeant Tim Powell, of Hereford CID, said: "We are still gathering evidence, in particular CCTV. If anyone saw this vehicle or anyone acting suspiciously in the car park of Ross swimming pool, we would like to hear from them on 0300 333 3000".
