A Ross rugby player videoed drinking four live fish in an alcoholic cocktail, as part of a drinking game called Neknominate, was in court on Tuesday, August 19th. 33-year-old Paul Wooding faced animal cruelty charges when the RSPCA investigated after he posted a video to Facebook. He was ordered to pay £500 in costs by Hereford Magistrate on Tuesday, after admitting causing unnecessary suffering to four fish as part of the online drinking game. This was the fifth Neknomination case brought to court by the RSPCA. Wooding of Brampton Avenue, Ross-on-Wye, was also given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge at Hereford Magistrates' Court.
