Lea Pre-School have had a busy Summer Term.

Musiclusive have held music sessions for the children and parents, funded by Ross Children’s Centre, and the pupils have really enjoyed learning new songs, signs and experimenting with a range of percussion instruments. The school said it was brilliant to have parents and carers coming to support the sessions too.

The Pre-School have also been having outdoor learning on a Tuesday afternoon at the Butterfly Lodge. They have been learning about different animals and their habitats, exploring the wild woods, going on bug hunts and listening to stories.

They have also followed the journey of the House Martins, observing them building their nests in the school eaves and feeding their chicks giving the children fantastic first hand experiences.

The PTFA have funded for the pre-school to have Rugby Tots sessions on a Monday afternoon, this has been a huge success, the children have had opportunities to learn and develop new skills under the expertise of Bianca Long.
