Two of the parents of pupils in Year 6 at Brampton Abbotts Primary School, Emma Creswick and Laura Dobbs, decided to surprise the youngsters at their levers’ prom party.
The children will be moving up to John Kyrle High School in September and their mums wanted to give them a great send-off.
They got all the mums of the Year 6 leavers together and decided that they would sing pop group, Take That’s leaving song, Never Forget. The mums, who were joined by teacher, Mrs Herriott, walked into the school at the end of the prom with Gary Barlow masks on and belted out the song.
To begin with the pupils were totally embarrassed to see their mums singing, but soon they were all joining in and dancing along.
Laura told the Ross Gazette: “Great fun was had by all and I’m sure they will Never Forget it.”
