The first multi-skills activity day since the Federation of Bridstow and Brampton Abbotts Primary Schools was formed, has been a great success. Pupils from years one and two at Bridstow planned and hosted a series of events for their counterparts at Brampton Abbotts.

Mrs Wallin, Class 2 teacher at Bridstow commented: “The children from both schools were great. They have been excited about this ever since it was suggested and they have approached it in a really positive way. As always during British summer time, the weather made it extra special but the children were an absolute credit to both schools and took a great deal from the experience.

“Events like this help to give the children a rounded experience in school and are part of the learning environment, which both schools seek to nurture. The Federation allows us to work more closely and share ideas for the benefit of all of the children and we hope it will be the first of many similar collaborations.”
