In September 2009, Helen Parry and George Miles were preparing for their A levels. At the same time, they were undertaking the responsibilities of head girl and head boy at John Kyrle High School. As the current academic year commenced, Helen and George have returned as teachers of Modern Foreign Languages and Maths respectively. They join a long line of former students who have returned to work at JKHS.

Helen Parry said: “During my time as a student at John Kyrle, the staff certainly inspired me to go into teaching. It’s great to be back and I hope I have the same positive effect on my students.”

“It’s a privilege to be back teaching at JKHS, where I spent seven happy and successful years” added George. “Since I left, there are several new buildings. The school remains committed to Mr Griffiths’ aim of ensuring all pupils are ‘happy, healthy and successful’."
