Kings Caple Primary Academy recently enjoyed their Harvest Festival. It was attended by Reverend Starling, the new village curate, and also local singer, April Shipton.

April sang one of her songs to the children and the children had fun singing one of April’s songs to her. The pupils recited poems, told everybody stories and acted the story of the first Harvest Festival.

The pupils’ families brought in food donations to go to the local food bank.

Afterwards, the children and their families sat down for a harvest lunch, organised by the PTFA.

Poppy’s Bakery baked a superb harvest loaf which was raffled in aid of the school.

The staff and pupils at Kings Caple Primary Academy would like to say a huge thank you to Poppies Bakery, and also to Langford’s farm for the donation of potatoes, and to Ross Labels for the donation of potato toppings.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
