John Kyrle High School students and their families have been busy filling and wrapping shoeboxes full of generous donations for those less fortunate.

The Teams4u charity were impressed by the sheer volume of shoeboxes received, having never before received so many from John Kyrle High School and Sixth Form Centre.

These shoeboxes will now be given to a vulnerable child or family through schools, nurseries, hospitals and orphanages in countries such as Romania, Georgia, Moldova, Bosnia or Ukraine in readiness for Christmas.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “Teams4u and I would like to thank all the many students and their families for their charitable donations to help the poorest children in Eastern Europe. Together we have made this Christmas one to remember!”

Teams4u operate around the world supporting community initiatives aiming to improve the lives of children through education, healthcare, training, financial assistance, and delivering shoeboxes.

Teams4U was founded in 2006 to give people the opportunity and experience of working with and supporting vulnerable children and their families.
