Gareth Hill, a volunteer with Water Aid, spent an afternoon with pupils at Kings Caple. Gareth ran an assembly for the whole school and then ran workshops for KS1 and KS2.
The younger children learned about hand washing and germs and the older children completed a quiz about water issues. They learned that 844 million people around the world don’t have local access to clean water. The pupils found the sessions very engaging and thought provoking.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
