Local Councillor and businessman, Frank Myers, presented the Oscar for the Best Overall Movie at the Walford School Red Carpet Night on Thursday, March 16th.

The Hedgehog Movie Award was presented by wildlife filmmaker and photographer, Andrew Anderson, and the Apple Ambassador Leadership Awards were presented by Mr Paul Deneen, OBE JP DL, Chair of the Board of Governors at Walford Primary School. Mr Deneen thanked Headteacher, Louise George, all the teaching and support staff, the Parent Teacher and Friends Association, the Governors, and guests for their excellent support.

Mr Deneen added:?“The evening was enjoyed by all. The quality of the video and film work completed by the children was superb. It was great to hear the Year 3 and 4 Choir perform and also to be entertained by the winners of the ’Walford’s Got Talent Competition.’ It was also an opportunity to be able to thank the Apple Ambassadors for their impressive work both within the school, and in the wider community.”
