ST Joseph’s RC Primary School were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Ross, Councillor Harry Bramer, Mrs Marie Ward, his consort, and members of the Royal British Legion to their school for a special assembly.

Mary Sinclair Powell and Graham Aplin explained to the pupils the relevance of Remembrance Sunday, what the different areas of their Standard mean, and why they continue the tradition.

The children were already aware of the Silent Soldier silhouettes which they have seen around Ross and were keen to share their knowledge of the different locations where they had seen them.
