Pupils from St Joseph’s RC Primary School visited the Community Garden in Ross-on-Wye for a fun morning learning about different fruits and the importance of bees.

As well as a lovely walk around the garden the children got to taste freshly picked strawberries and blackberries and saw the bees at work. They discovered that one bee produces less than one teaspoon of honey during its life which is why each hive is home to many thousands of bees.

Children from many of the local schools will be taking up the opportunity to visit over the next few weeks.
