All the children from Nursery to Year 6 at St Joseph’s Primary School took part in a range of competitions during their annual Sports Day on Friday, June 29th.
They ran field events in the morning and track events in the afternoon, some of which are pictured, and the children competed in the javelin, long jump and accuracy throwing competitions.
There was a fantastic attendance for the Sports Day, with so many parents showing their support. There was also a barbecue and refreshments on sale during the day.
Red House were the overall winners this year, scoring 131 points across the day.
Teacher Mr. Rhys Gunter, who compered the Sports Day, said: “The Year 6 girls have worked as our Sports Crew.
“They assist with Sports Day and any other sporting activities that we hold at the school such as our St Joseph’s Football World Cup that we ran last Tuesday. Team France won that competition.”
