Storm Frank is currently hitting the country; the UK is being battered by high-force wind and an extremely high amount of rain is expected to fall.
In Wales, at the source of the River Wye, At least 60mm of rain is predicted, so local residents should be prepared for flooding.

You can ask your local Fire and Rescue Service (http://www.hwfire.org.uk) for help pumping out water. You may need an environmental permit to pump water from your property yourself. Before you do anything, check with:
• Your local Environment Agency office (http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/contactus/36324.aspx) if you want to pump water into rivers, boreholes, ditches or watercourses
• Your water company (http://www.water.org.uk/about/our-members) if you want to pump water into public sewers
• The local highways authority or Highways England (01432 261800) if you want to pump water into street drains, highways or highway ditches. You can also call this number to report a fallen tree, which is blocking a road.

Contact your local electricity company (http://www.energynetworks.org/info/emergencies/power-cuts-telephone-numbers.html) to report an electrical hazard or a problem with overhead electricity lines.
